2. Did you know.png

The 18th Amendment in America forbade the “manufacture, sale and transportation of intoxicating liquors” - but not the actual consumption. By law, any wine, beer or spirits that Americans had stashed away in January 1920 were theirs to keep and enjoy in the privacy of their homes. For most people, this amounted to only a few bottles, but some affluent drinkers built cavernous wine cellars and even bought out whole liquor store inventories to ensure they had healthy stockpiles of legal hooch. Now, that’s a serious commitment to grog!

Game: Degrees Of Separation

One person picks two things that are unrelated.

The other person has to provide a chain of plausible associations to connect them.

For example, if you say "lion and slippers," I might say, "A lion hunts warthogs. Warthogs are pigs. Pigs in a blanket is a breakfast entree. A blanket goes on a bed. When I get out of bed, I put on my slippers."

Maybe (definitely) you can come up with a better one than this.
